Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors, LLC, is pleased to announce that James Mansfield has joined our team in a new position as Vice President Managing Director.

“Our rapid growth demands that we have someone to oversee Pinnacle’s day-to-day operations so we can focus on new strategic initiatives,” said Matt Ritter, who co-founded Pinnacle with Jeff Johnson 10 years ago. “James has a great reputation in the commercial real estate community and the experience of working with some of the most respected brokerage teams in the business. His role is to support the current brokers and staff and grow the organization in numbers, depth, geographic and specialty practice groups.”

Mansfield joins Pinnacle from Cushman & Wakefield, where was senior managing director and market leader since 2011. He previously served as director of real estate development for Opus Northwest LLC and director of leasing at Brookfield Office Properties.

“Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors is an entrepreneurial, client-focused company, and I’m looking forward to supporting the company’s outstanding team of brokers,” said Mansfield. “Even as a local brokerage firm, Pinnacle competes effectively with national firms. I’ve been watching this company for a while, and I’m looking forward to working with them.”

Pinnacle was founded in 2006 with seven people packed into a small subleased space. It has expanded to include 39 brokers and 13 staff members who specialize in all aspects of commercial real estate. This year the company is on track to complete 379 transactions valued at more than $545 million, an increase of 30.5 percent over 2014, while garnering more than 50 percent market share in sales of apartment properties from five to 200 units in the five-county Denver metro area. Affiliate Pinnacle Real Estate Management manages 1,818 apartment units, up from 1,600 in 2014, as well as 600,000 square feet of commercial space.

Ritter and Johnson attribute the company’s growth to the consistency of its brokerage team and staff. Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors prides itself on providing a professional and enjoyable culture that encourages collaboration. Brokers have access to a shared database, an anomaly in the commercial real estate industry.

“Our brokers and staff are pivotal to Pinnacle’s success and growth,” said Johnson. “We created a high-energy, family oriented culture unlike any other firm in town, based on integrity, hard work, professionalism, a heavy dose of entrepreneurialism and lots of fun.”

Consolidation among larger commercial real estate companies has created a great space for local firms like Pinnacle, according to Mansfield. “It’s allowed Pinnacle to win and execute  institutional business while maintaining the predominately private capital business that they have foraged in and dominated,” he said.

While Pinnacle’s roots are in multifamily brokerage, Mansfield said over the past five years its office, industrial and retail business has taken off He anticipates adding more depth in those areas, as well as in the area of land brokerage.
